So
in the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday - and since my family and
I aren't attending a Martha Stewart-ized holiday celebration for me
to rag on later, I have decided to write a very special (read as - easy
to write - but might put you to sleep) - Things I am Thankful For list.
This isn't nearly everything I am thankful for, though.
- For my cam site and the peeps that
visit it - which has given me endless hours of fun and allowed me
to meet all kinds of cool people on the net which would bring me to---
- LiveJournal
- without it - I would have never met the people I have come to enjoy
exchanging sarcastic retorts.
- The people on my LiveJournal
Friends List.
- I have now become immune to the
horrors of the movie "Deep Blue Sea" (I have seen it 18
times) and though some scenes almost make me wet my pants with fear
- I can recover quickly (though I would never last in a movie theater)
- I am a full time student (slacker)
and love my schedule
- I don't seem to look my age. Either
that or people are amazed that someone that acts so immature can be
that old and don't comment.
- The amount of people that demand
that I "Show them my tits" have drastically decreased.
- I have kept the ability to laugh
at myself without too many bar brawls ensuing afterwards.
- I am soooo glad that caffeine exists
- and that mom not only approves of it - but requires I partake of
it if I am visiting in her home.
- Tim Horton's and their toffee coffee
in Downtown Canada
- Downtown Canada (yeah I make fun
of it - but some of the coolest peeps are from there).
- Chocolate - without it - this
world would be a dreary place.
- Craig Kilborn - not to be confused
with his show - which sux.
- My mom rocks this planet. (How
many moms do you know cook food for internet strangers and are ok
with their daughters being less than marriage material?) There are
countless things I could say about her - but that would be a Moment
all its' own. I am glad I have her.
- My dad attempts to rock the planet
and ends up not failing cuz of Mom. (Dad does try).
- My friends in real life in Huntsville,
Athens, Atlanta, Chicago and Canada.
- My house.
- V. C Andrews books.
- Little kids sense that I am not
a "kid-loving grown up" and not only leave me alone - but
scream in terror and run.
- Battlebots
- I have no gray hairs.
- My costume collection beats your
costume collection - and I still fit into all of them.
- Talk shows. No matter how bad
my life gets - I am always gonna have the better deal than the midget
marrying the prostitute.
- I have an uncanny ability to be
at the right place at the right time and make everyone around me laugh.
- Most of the people that visit
my forum (besides a few) are generally cool and smart people.
- There is a new season of Absolutely
Fabulous
- That fate works in mysterious ways
and always seems to end up making me happy about circumstances and
lets me form new friendships that I never thought possible.
- Game Shows.
- Reality shows.
- Vodka
- Henry - my fingernail technician.
- Drag Queens - why can't I meet
any of you that are straight?
- PeepingMoe
- for being there at any given time to help me with any internet problem
(and I am talking about being there at 2am on a Tuesday morning in
under ten minutes of trying to reach him) or just to chat, even when
I wasn't his client.
- For Sci Fi cons - without them
I wouldn't know what to plan for in my free time or anywhere to wear
my sequins and fur.
- Midol - extra strength caplets
- For Mr. HAT - He gave me a reason
for getting out of bed and going to school on some days - regardless
that I have yet to have a straight answer from him about a date -
or been able to ask him out for that matter.
- Wellbutrin - without it, I would
be the girl in the ending scene of "The Craft" (the one
that thinks she can fly while they strap her to a bed and inject her
with something "helpful."
Man I can go on here for awhile -
and though I could, I might save it for a journal entry... I am just
thankful for a lot of things that are going good for me and people that
I have in my life. I realize this post isn't as funny as some of my
other ones - but I am kinda in a reflective mood - so just deal with
it.
Mom and I will be cooking on cam and
Dad will be there to eat with us on cam for our Thanksgiving steak dinner.
I think we are gonna be wearing hats. Dad is all pleased that he has
a red white and blue hat to show his patriotism (as well as his fabo
fashion sense). I don't know what time it's all going on - but I can
tell you that our dinner will be over by 6:30pm central time. Mom got
us an invite to mooch desert off of another family.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
